I applied online. The interview was split into two parts. An at home video recorded interview done by corporate and then a few days between to find out I moved along and will be interviewed in store.
Overall they were fairly common and easy questions. Mainly behavioral with how you would act in difficult situations or sharing an actual experience you with a difficult customer or something else along those lines.
I know some people get a phone interview instead of the video recording first, I'm not sure what the difference is in getting those.

Question 1
Share a time where you interested with a difficult person.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Columbia, SC) in Apr 2015
Interview
If they're interested, they will contact you via email for a phone interview. The woman that interviewed was really nice and asked simple questions like, "Why do you want to work for Nordstrom?". After the last question she told me to go through my employment history and scheduled me for an in person interview the following week. I'm not the best with in person interviews and tend to get a little nervous but the manager was one of the friendliest I have ever met and she seemed so passionate about her job. The questions she asked were the same as the ones asked in the phone interview. After the interview I had a tour of the store and met some of the fellow employees. I was told that I would get a call by the end of next week and I got a call on Thursday for a job offer.
