I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Mission Viejo, CA) in Aug 2023
Interview
Easy and quick interview process. I showed up during their job fair, filled out a resume, interviewed with a manager and got offered the job on the spot. They ask you the basic interview questions, a couple about yourself and then some scenario based questions. If you are interviewing for a sales position, they will take you to the sales floor and ask you to put together an outfit based on a prompt.

Question 1
During the mock sales scenario, I was asked to put two outfits together for someone who had a brunch in the morning and a nice dinner later that night.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2025
Interview
Very standardized interview with the department manager, all behavioral questions, was a little repetitive. Only one interview round. Make sure to ask about commission payout because it differs by department.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself/walk me through your resume. Do you have any sales experience?
Very simple, just an online interview followed by in-person. Asked about past experience and situational questions dealing with customers. Nothing too hard but always remain customer-oriented. Got my offer the following day and started the following week.
Straightforward questions but will ask a lot of scenario questions! No need to be intimidated just be yourself and be truthful when answering questions. They want to see if you’re a good fit not only for sales but for the company and their values.
