I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at OfficeMax in Aug 2010
Interview
I got a call from the assistant manager about coming in to interview a few weeks after applying online. It was busy, so I had to wait awhile for my actual interview. The store manager was on lunch (for more than the half hour he was supposed to be gone) so I had to wait for him too. The assistant store manager interviewed me first, then when the store manager got back he did too. The questions were pretty simple and they told me about the store standards, and they offered me a job right after.
This process was very easy and seemed to verify I could interact with people. It was in the furniture section of the store and was with the store manager at the time.
The process was very relaxed, it was my first job had a good way to earn money over the summer. I would recommend this position To other people seeking a laid-back summer job
The interview process was easy and strieght foward, they are mainly looking for an comunicative individual to work with. The hours were flexable and easy to work with the manager
