I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ola (Bengaluru) in Oct 2018
Interview
Took a total of 1 week, Initially, there was a hacker rank test, which was easy, then I got a call for F2F. when I went there it was full of candidates and then we were given another hacker rank test. after that another hackerrank test for me, the HR manager said, your first part of the code was good but then you have to give another try.
Then he gave me another link of hacker rank which was the same question as the initial one, I thought maybe they are testing that we have cheated on the first level. but again they said the question was sent by mistake, you have to appear for another one. Then the test was given for 90 minutes. which I was not able to clear,
The entire event was unorganized in generall, no water and lunch coupon was given but when I went to the cafeteria it was over. Unless you go and ask in person they will keep you waiting for hours.
Even thought the position was for full stack developer the questions were entirely based on competitve coding. The interviews are basically meant for competitve coders.
Personally from my experiance, competitve coding doesn't make sure if one is a good developer or not. You have to speak to them, tell them to write some code, see their github profile, stackoverflow profile. other than hacker rank tests.
