I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Paybase
Interview
I was informed 1 hour before my interview was scheduled to begin (at 9am) that it was cancelled, via email cancellation event. This was at 8am while I was on my way to the interview, the reason being an offer was sent out to another candidate the night before.
This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable! That is not how you manage an interview process or treat potential employees!
I would advise to approach this company with extreme caution!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Paybase (London, England) in Dec 2018
Interview
The interview process was engaging and thorough across 3 rounds. The first round was an interview with the CEO with the aim of getting to learn more about me and my past experiences, and also an opportunity for me to get to know Paybase. Post the first round, I was sent a task to be completed at home which I had the opportunity to discuss and present during a second round. The final round included the CEO and CTO with further discussions on my background and an assessment of cultural fit. Throughout the interview process, I was given the opportunity to ask several questions on Paybase and was provided with transparent and detailed answers. I requested to speak with additional members of the team to get to know the company better and was readily provided with this opportunity. The process started just before Christmas and therefore ended up continuing post the holidays, but communication lines were continuously open during the period to ensure that momentum wasn't lost.

Question 1
How would you prioritise which features are built first from a very long backlog?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Paybase (London, England) in Mar 2019
Interview
The process was thorough but very friendly. I had two interviews and a writing task to complete. The first interview was with the Copywriter at the time and the Head of Marketing. This was a structured Q&A about my experience and relevant skills for the role. The final interview was a little more tough with payments-specific questions and then a more informal chat about the task with the Head of Marketing, Copywriter and CEO. Overall the process was good - it was well organised, considered and, as a result, I felt confident going into the role after being successful.
