I applied online. I interviewed at PepsiCo (Vancouver, WA) in Feb 2014
Interview
I was called in for the initial "interview", aka information session. This was very informative and done professionally. We were specifically told that each of us would be contacted within 2 weeks if we would move along in the process, or not. After a group meeting of approximately 15 potential new hires we were sent to a short 5-10 minute informal one on one interview with a Frito Lay manager. Basic work history questions, comfortable, getting first impressions. Was told I would be notified within 2 weeks if I was moving on to a second interview. Within 3 days I was contacted to schedule my second interview. This is where all went wrong. I was interviewed by a 3 person panel. I had been told this would be the case, and I was fine with it. However, one person on the panel seemed very knowledgeable and professional. The second barely spoke English, and the third was disheveled looking as if she'd just got off a 16 hour shift, or possibly just rolled out of bed and headed straight to work. The questions I was asked were repetitive and redundant. The most off putting part of the interview was that they didn't seem to be prepared. The questions were read off of a form, and it seemed as they hadn't read them before. Two of them fumbled some of the questions and had to read them over. When I answered their questions, it was if they weren't even listening to me. If you've ever seen Jimmy Fallon do thank you notes you'll know what I mean. They all dove onto their forms writing my responses word for word. Almost comical except for the fact that I desperately needed this job. All questions were directed at safety...so be prepared. I asked my questions at the end and finished by asking how soon I should expect to be contacted. I again was assured that all applicants would be notified regardless of outcome within 1-2 weeks. My interview was mid February and I haven't heard a word. Two phone calls and 2 e-mails to HR have been ignored. Good luck to future applicants. FYI .. This was in Vancouver, Wa, 2014
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All questions were aimed towards concern for safety...pretty much same questions just worded differently. Most difficult was trying to understand interviewer with horrible English.
