I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Philips (Singapore) in Sept 2012
Interview
Interview with department head, HR rep. Followed by interview with hiring manager. All in one day since I was applying internally the process was speedy. Interview itself was fine, basic questions like how I would fill in the role, how I would work in a new business line and how I thought it would compare to my current job.

Question 1
How would you organise a study to evaluate the usability of a newly developed remote control?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Philips
Interview
I spoke to HR about a product research role in the Oral Healthcare group in Bothell, WA. The recruiter seemed enthusiastic about my background. I then spoke with the hiring manager. The feedback was that I lacked software experience and two weeks later I saw the posting for the job revised to now require a Master degree (in Human Technology Interaction, User Experience Design, Industrial Design Engineering) as well as specific experience in hardgoods product design. A year later I see the same job posted for the next year and now, a year later, Philips is sponsoring ads to hire this role. Apparently, they still have not found their purple unicorn.
