      UK Graduate Leadership Program Interview

      30 Nov 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Guildford, England
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Philips (Guildford, England) in Nov 2016

      Interview

The Process was very straight forward, Application, Online assessment video interview then assessment day. During the Assessment day you're made to make a presentation on the challenges in the near future. The group task also will require you to fight your idea out with your members which is where strain will occur. My worst experience was the interview as it was together with the presentation and i interrogated during the presentation. However i believe this was the only interviewer which did this. Overall experience was good except for the interviewer.

      Positive experience

      Application

The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Philips (Guildford, England) in Nov 2016

      Interview

In terms of the assessment centre, a lot of work to prepare beforehand in developing presentation due to the nature of the presentation topic. In terms of showcasing your presentation it was strange, it was presented to one person in a very small room requiring you to sit next to the assessor to talk through the presentation on your laptop. Was a bit awkward as I had created my presentation to be "presented". Felt that they were mainly looking at your personality and prior experience, you are being assessed all the time, as soon as the assessment centre starts, during lunch and when you leave the assessors are in the room. I would say focus on showing leadership in group exercise and showing 'energy', they talked about 'energy' a lot. Overall the assessment was fairly easy, only three activities and apart from the presentation/interview they did not require much effort/thinking. All about the 'energy'.
