I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Player's Fitness & Performance (Frederick, MD) in Aug 2025
Interview
The interview was very easy and interactive. Chrissy was a pleasure to talk to over Zoom, plus she described how the company is backed by FAITH! How cool is that? If they like you, they'll invite you to a shadow day. This was ran by Kayla who loves to work at PFP. The trainers and rest of the staff are very happy and smiley. Definitely will love the environment!

Interview
Interview process is extremely tedious, and no compensation details would be shared with me during first few steps of the interview. After my second phone interview, I reached out to some friends who worked there, and they indicated that based on my current pay at a competing gym for a role with less responsibility, I would be better off not leaving my current job. I ended up not showing up to the next in-person interview after hearing this. Prior to this, I had 3 phone interviews, submitted a resume, completed their separate online application which contained long-form interview-style questions, and finally completed a “homework assignment” from them which required me to write an actual essay on their foundational pillars and mission statement, and what those things mean to me. Overall, it was a lot of hoops to jump through only to find out that the job wasn’t worth it. Since then, my three friends who worked there have moved on to a work for a different company.
