I applied online. I interviewed at PlayerUnknown Productions (Amsterdam)
Interview
The interview was fairly standard. Provided quite a bit of information about the project. I asked several questions in return about the project, longevity, availability, and whether I'd be willing to move to Amsterdam or work Remote, and Salary were all discussed.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PlayerUnknown Productions (Amsterdam) in May 2024
Interview
Talk with Natalia was pleasant and smooth. Things got complicated when I got to "technical" interview stage - I was interviewed by a senior producer who was still in probation period with the company who stated that they are not QA expert and don't know much about QA - this was red flag number one, how can I be technically questioned about QA, when person questioning me doesn't have the expertise or knowledge? It didn't get better, the interview scheduled for 60 minutes was cut short after 30mins, most of which was spent on introductions and then a few general questions about tooling. That was it. Few days later I receive rejection, which is ok, but leaves a very sour taste as I felt like I was a great candidate for the role, but wasn't given a chance.
