Interview
I would like to share my United Airlines Interview Round Experience
Just to give a basic summary the job role was Software Developer. It was an on-campus Interview experience.
Round 1
Round 1 was Resume shortlisting which I cleared successfully.
Round 2
Round 2 was the online assessment of 1.5 hours which contained the easy level Coding Problems which I cleared successfully as well. If you have practised basic interview questions at GFG, you can easily solve them as well.
Round 3
Round 3 was an interview of about 45 mins. They called me. I sat there and got comfortable. There were 2 panelists.
The question I got asked was on my confidence level like how would you rate yourself on a scale of 10 in JavaScript?
So they gave me some codes of JavaScript and I have to tell whether it will give an exception, or what output.
At that time I had OOPS, these output statement questions on my tips. So it was really easy to answer all that.
Then, I was asked about projects that I had already mentioned in my resume. So to give basic info one of my projects was in MERN stack. And as a communication application like WhatsApp. So they asked me where I deployed it. What is the project's future scope?
Why do You use this technology? How do you make it in real-time? What security measures do you use?
Then asked me what authentication was. which I told them wrong I told them the definition of Authorization. At that time I didn't know they were 2 different things.
Then they asked me some questions on DBMS which I was proficient in what are ACID properties and their meaning? What is an entity in the ER Diagram?
And after that interview was over.
Round 4 (Last Round HR+tech)
I was called for Round 4 after an extended list of shortlisted candidates. Was a little nervous because my interview was the last in the whole college. And got insight from other candidates that the interviewer was asking about cloud computing. I had never worked in microservices in college but have little knowledge.
And my name was called so I entered the room.
Still 2 panellists but a different pair than before.
I greeted them with "Good Evening" and the interview began.
They asked me what is cloud computing.
I was relieved that ok I could answer this.
Then he asked me about what I liked in United Airlines.
At that time I was studying the history of United Airlines for 2 days as I was focusing on getting into this company. I told him how United Airlines was formed. What tech does it use? Where are backups? How does it handle disasters?
Like everything I know. Even the interviewer was confused about how I knew about all this info. He replied I even don't know this much.
Closing the interview he asked me to "Any Question"?
At that time I had many questions. I asked about 2 questions and the interview was over.
