I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Qualcomm
Interview
1. Had a phone screen where I was asked general system vulnerabilities, Buffer Overflow, Heap overflow. Also asked questions on my resume.
Gave a code, and told me to find the vulnerability in the code.
2. Was called onsite, where had 5 interviews. Again, was asked similar vulnerabilities questions. Each interviewer had a set of code where i had to find vulnerabilities.
Important to know about integer overflows, TCP/IP network vulnerabilities, buffer and heap overflows, format vulnerability, return to libc attack, overwtiting the frame pointer and security impact of that.
The interview process was slow. On a couple occasions the person who was supposed to interview me didn't show up. They also kept booking interviews at 2-3am my local time even though I told them what timezone I was in.
Overall I got the feeling they did not care about wasting my time.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Qualcomm in Jan 2022
