      Account Manager Trainee Interview

      25 Feb 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at RBC in Feb 2014

      Interview

I applied online in December 2013. Process took 3 months. First I had a personality test via email from recruiter. Then HR called me for a 30 min phone interview. It was mostly straightforward question related to my resume. Then I had in person interview with 2 branch managers. They both asked basic behavioral interview question, nothing unexpected or surprising. I found it very engaging and cheerful. However the last interview I had was with Regional VP. It was one of the most awkward interviews I have had in my life. He asked me about 25/30 questions and I felt some of the questions were kind of personal attack.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Most unexpected question, there were few, I will just put the whole interview with RVP here. 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. Tell me more about your first job, what did u do 3. Then asked why did u leave? 4. I see you have had 3 jobs in the last three years, why do you keep moving between jobs? 5. Since my first job was in credit card he said sell me a credit card that’s good 6. Then he is like oh I see u r not working anymore what happened, why did you leave, why didn’t they offer you another job? 7. Then he is like u had to do online question, did anyone give u feedback. i said no they didn't, he said they should have and went over those 200 question personality test result. 8. Then he asked I see you have worked in payday loan, you issued loan what did u look for as a recourse 9. Do u want to be liked or Respected? 10. What kind of team do u like 11. Why do u want to work here 12. He then said u are using fiduciary duty work a lot u know its a legal term 13. What will be the biggest challenge accepting this role 14. He asked do u think aggressive sales man has a positive look or image 15. Then he said when was last time someone really aggressive approached u and did u buy 16. What does customer service means to you and why is it important 17. What do u know about this role 18. What do u dislike in a professional environment 19. How do u take criticism 20. If u have some regular work to do how do u keep yourself organize
