      Project Manager - Operations Interview

      26 Aug 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Resultant (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2020

      Interview

Unfortunately, this is was the most unprofessional interview experience I ever had. I'll tell you why: The process is like every other company but very disorganized and unprofessional. Each interview is a week or two out from the other. I interviewed with all their leadership team for this position and sensed I was there for the show so that they can tick their numbers and pick the person they want, unfortunately. The reason is the way they scheduled my interviews, not showing much interest in the conversasions, copy pasted HR questions, no technical PM questions, and they even forgot at some point that they have an interview with me. They didn't cancel, and never sent an apology email, nothing! They just forgot! I had to follow up myself after sitting 10 minutes into the call sending emails to see what has happened. They just rescheduled! I even asked if you've already chosen your candidate it's ok, and that if you have please let me know to save time for both of us. They said we don't know yet. I found it hard to believe, but still gave it a chance. Overall, I would say they lack professionalism and honesty very much. Hopefully they learn as they grow. One more point to add: After I followed up for the final result, the recruiter said "sorry that we don't have a position for you at this time"...Does anyone say that? No. You thank me for my time and effort and say it in the nicest way that you chose someone else for the position, not that you don't have a position for me. You've been interviewing me for it for a month now. These details says a lot about the internal dynamics and company culture. These kind of emails are worthy of copy paste, not HR questions. Those need to be in depth and specific to the role.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Just the bqsic typical HR behavioural questions, not much PM questions. you can find them anywhere. Not much insight from what they asked.
