As it seems to be the case with this employer, the position is in Mississauga, but all the interviewing team is actually in the states, which gives the impression that the Canadian based branch does not really control much. The first screening hiring manager was very courteous and nice. The HR one followed in a couple of day was generally positive, but mentioned that travel is required for the job, which was not mentioned in the job ad. Speaking of the job ad, it was actually a combination (literally) of three jobs whereby a candidate would be fit (or unfit) easily, because of its very wide scope. The third (all virtual interviews, because of COVID) was with a director who was also positive. The last one was really bad, with a team lead (less than all the others in title, neurotic in demeanor). I did not say 'bless you' for him after he sneezed in the beginning of the interview (because I was not sure it was a sneeze) and the interview took a terrible turn after that point. He spent about 45min belittling any experience I mention and highlighting anything I do not know (e.g. machine learning and AI expertise, which are not required) while ignoring my extended expertise in biotech and biomedical informatics. Ignored my greeting at the end, and rest assured, I received a rejection in few days. It was surprising how such a multi-national company base their decisions on superficial impressions by employees, who obviously need more sensitivity training.

Question 1
behavioral and experience related, with a focus on data.
Fair and friendly. Multiple rounds with changing stakeholders. Standard questions, nothing you cannot prepare for. No tricks. HR always there. Fast feedback, room for negotiations. It was really not troublesome at all.
