I had a telephone interview with the external recruiter and then was invited to a face to face interview with the Head of People and a HR Business Partner.
During the telephone interview it was explained to me that they had previously filled the position, but the candidate rejected the offer, so this wasn't the first time recruiting for the role.
Following my face to face interview, I was promised feedback and next steps the next day but eventually didn't hear anything until 4 days later after chasing.
Long story short - I was told that they realised that the business needs a more senior role and that I didn't demonstrate 'strategic skills' in my interview, despite not being interviewed for that capacity. No other feedback given.
The same role is still 'live' and being recruited for 4 weeks later, so make of that what you will.
