It wasn't too difficult. Just simple questions related to my past work experience. And questions related to the job. Like of I was okay with working at night shift, etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me if I am okay working at night shift.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at S&P Global
Interview
I was engaged in 3 rounds of interview process plus a 1 hour task to perform.
I knew when applying for the job that I will be over qualified for it. I applied to two jobs- one was for Human Resource relevant to my degree and the other was Editor I a little less for my skills and qualifications.
They did not accept my application for HR one but engaged me in the process for Editor I. Throughout the process, they had a panel f interviews an kept saying you are overqualified but didnot stop the process.
When in the final interview, I asked the head manager why I have been in the process despite being overqualified for this job but not engaged for the one that is relevant to me and they had no answer.
They wasted a whole 2 months of process

Question 1
They gave a practical test which I scored in the top rank and then a series of interviews that were not relevant.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at S&P Global (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Apr 2025
Interview
It was good. They were friendly. Mostly asked behavioural and previous work-related questions. It helps to have a background in financial writing, but it is not a must. Would suggest ensuring you resume highlights your strengths, as most questions will be based on those.
I interviewed at S&P Global (São Paulo, São Paulo)
Interview
The interview process was long. It started with a 30 minute screening interview with HR. Then there was a hiring test which can take up to 2 hours (unpaid). It includes a 30 minute maths test (fractions, weighted averages, ratios, that kind of thing), a 30 minute reporting test, a 30 minute writing test and then a 30 minute editing test. Once the test was approved and I passed, I then had a 45 minute interview with two managers over Zoom or Teams. The questions aren’t your typical ‘what are your strengths’ etc; rather, they are very tailored to the candidate and sometimes spontaneous based on what my answers were. I found this part of the interview very dynamic.
The downside was it took a lot of time to do the interview and prepare for it - basically a full working day. They also took weeks and weeks to get back to me with the final decision.
