      Client Service Coordinator (CSC) Interview

      18 Aug 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Prague
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SAP Concur (Prague) in Jul 2016

      Interview

Abysmal. Poorly organised from the start. It was an internal referral so that's how I got my "foot in the door" with this company. That was ok but it was for a technical position that did not interest me. I was supposed to be contacted by someone from HR to discuss other possible positions in the company. That person fell off the face of the earth for a week (apparently this happens often) before she finally called me back. I should mention that she had emailed me a week previously that she would try to call me the next day, which never happened. The first round of phone talks was actually ok. It was the only open and honest part of the entire procedure. A lot of questions about how I think I would fit into the company and the position. 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds were all in person at the company. Round two was with a senior CSC member along with a person whose role was not clear to me as they would not be working with me. A language test (written and spoken) was part of this round along with answering questions with various scenarios. The senior CSC member was pleasant and friendly. Round three with a supervisor from another team. Round 4 was supposed to be with the direct report supervisor and it was communicated to be my HR as such. To my surprise upon my arrival, however, I found that there would be not one but THREE individuals taking part. The other two were from another team for Italian and Dutch support. Basically, they wanted to see if I would be a better fit in that team but nobody deemed it polite, professional or necessary to communicate this with me up front and ask me if I was interested or if it was ok with me. The interview room was uncomfortably small and felt more like a prison cell. The person who was supposed to actually be interviewing me took a very passive role in it and sat there most of the time observing the others asking me questions and observing how I answered the questions. It felt hostile. After that, I was left with the senior CSC member from the other language team to have a discussion in Italian and Dutch. Again, I don't mind this but it would have been the professional thing to do to inform me of this. Even though that last round was more than 2 weeks ago and I was promised feedback, nothing has happened. No reaction from my contact or from the person who was my referral contact. I have already accepted a job offer elsewhere so even if they do get back to me at this late stage, I will not bother. There is clearly a lack of respect from management side. Why would I want to work there?
