I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Safeway (Eureka, CA) in Sept 2011
Interview
I was hired at a large hiring event for a new store. The process was long, but not painful in the least. First you turned in your paperwork, then waited to meet with a current employee. If that employee said "yes" you went on to meet with a manager. After that you were drug tested and submitted some minimal information for a background check. I had a misstep only because someone wrote down my birth date incorrectly. It was corrected with a simple phone call.

Question 1
None. It was fairly typical. No large hurdles and just your average ordinary interview. You were one of many to get a job. They were mainly looking for bodies, not long-term employees.

My interview experience was pleasant and straightforward. I was asked a few questions relating to my background in customer service. One day of paid training followed the interview and I was able to quickly begin work.

Very Short and simple, was during covid so I think they were desperate for hires. I was hired on the spot. Was very casual asked like two questions for formality sake.

Interview
Very Easy, Just asked standard questions. Seemed like just a formality because they were just looking for more workers. I have to reach the word count so I need to write more words.
