SciGen interview questions

Interview is average, meet with direct manager, HR and then the CEO/CFO of the company. HR will directly ask you for your expected pay in front of your direct manager, which i am not comfortable about, shouldnt salary be confidential? The process can be speed up though, waited 2-3 weeks for an update.
