I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Serpentine Galleries (London, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
Multi-step interview process.
Initial phone call to assess if I was a candidate they wanted to interview.
Once this conversation went well, they sent through a rather difficult and involved set of things to produce and ideas, these went into a presentation to send ahead of interview.
At the location, I was met and interviewed by people from different departments, they all asked questions relevant to their field to ensure they had all-round answers
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Give us an example of a previous project that had an issue, and how you overcame it?
I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Serpentine Galleries in Apr 2025
Interview
Was a real shame to see how the energy of the hiring manager changed when the CEO was present at the final stage interview. This supports the reports of toxic senior management seen here and elsewhere, and made me question if it would be the right institution to join. I wasn’t notified a second stage with a task until after the first stage. The interview task was generic and unspecific, seeming more like an idea scrape/poach. Long gap between first interview and second.
I had two interviews, one with HR, Head of Department and Director of Cultural Affairs. Second one with just the later two. Both in person. There was pre interview task with two questions which I was asked to bring to the interview.
