I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Shell in Nov 2014
Interview
I applied for Shell graduate program. There was an online application and online assessment, after which there was an HR interview. The HR interview consisted of three parts:
a) behavorial questions asking for 6-7 specific examples of certain conditions (e.g. give an example where you had to work under pressure to achieve something, give an example where you had to convince your present boss to change some decision, give an example where you had to show cultural awareness to complete a particular project, etc.)
b) questions regarding Shell (e.g. why do you want to join Shell, what research have you done for the company position, etc.)
c) asking questions to the interviewer.
The interview took about 45 mins.
This is followed by a Shell Recruitment Day. I will be able to review the process after I attend the SRD.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Shell (Singapore)
Interview
The interview process focses on behavioral assessments and technical screenings. Candidates are tested on the "CAR" method, focusing on safety, leadership, and on job competence through structured and in depth questions.
The first round is a recorded video interview. You need to record some videos based on their questions. There were 3 questions or me, which is not very unique. About your project, your interest in Shell.
I recently completed a video interview on HireVue, and the overall experience was pretty interesting. The platform presented a large number of psychological assessment questions along with several prompts focused on workplace morality and ethical decision-making. I appreciated that HireVue allowed unlimited time to record and re-record my video responses, which took a lot of the pressure off and made the process feel more flexible and less rushed.
Each portion of the interview was fairly in-depth and required thoughtful answers, so it ended up taking around 30 minutes per section. The combination of the structured assessments and the freedom to redo videos made the entire interview feel thorough but manageable.
