I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Starbucks in Mar 2011
Interview
I applied online for the barista position. The store manager called me a few days later asking for an interview and availability if hired. I stopped in the store to hand in a copy of my availability and ended up doing the interview right then and there. The interview was behavior based and consisted of questions like "describe a time when you dealt with a difficult customer" and "have you ever been late to work, why".
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Have you ever been late to work? Why? What actions did you take?
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
After applying online they invited me for an online interview that was a group interview then the next stage would have been a one to one digital interview over zoom.

Question 1
What's a difficult customer interaction you've had?
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
