The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Starbucks (McLean, VA) in Feb 2012
Interview
My local Starbucks advertised a job fair later in the week on Thursday, so I went there after filling out an application online. Once there, I had a 1:1 interview with one manager. I passed that interview, so I went onto the second group interview with 2 managers. The questions were basic and simple, and we were asked to do a coffee tasting. They told us that we would get a call by Tuesday. I got the call Sunday, and my local manager asked me to come in to do some paperwork and I got the job.
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
it was great. I answered every question thoughtfully and easily. You have to have two interviews, one with the manager and one with the district manager. It is a in person interview. They ask many questions and will either hire you on the spot or you will have to call to see if you get the position.
