The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks in Dec 2012
Interview
I applied online to several different stores, and a week later called each store to follow up. None of them were looking for help, but one store manager directed me to another store that was looking for help. After countless bouts of phone tag (it was hard to keep in touch, as I had two jobs at the time and was looking to ditch one for Starbucks, and the SM was always busy) over the next week, we finally scheduled an interview. I got a free beverage of my choice for free and the interview lasted for about an hour and a half. She was very thorough with her questions.

Question 1
"Can you provide a specific instance where you executed exceptional customer service?"
Just a simple interview where you talk about your experience and get a free coffee as well. Your best bet is to be really friendly and bubbly and excited with completely open availability
Received an email asking to schedule an interview for the following week. The interview took place in the store itself, and took about 15 minutes. The questions were pretty average.
First interview went well, just the basic behavioral questions that should be answered using the STAR method. Second interview was less questions but with the district manager. Still waiting to hear back (if they reach out at all).
