I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at State Street in Mar 2012
Interview
Applied on their website and got a basic phone interview. A lot of behavioral questions, since being an intern you do not have much experience. I related almost every question they asked to my summer job and college classes. I did not have an in person interview, and got a call back about 2-3 weeks later saying I got the job. After you get an offer, they give you 2-3 days to respond.

I applied online. I interviewed at State Street in Jan 2026
Interview
The process was fairly smooth. I was first reached out through a phone call through HR, who asked simple screening questions, such as whether I was still interested in the opportunity, my availability, etc. After that initial call, it took around a week for them to invite me for an interview. The interview was laid back as it was conversational with no technical questions asked. They just want to get to know you--what you do in school, outside of school, hobbies, and interest. Two back to back interviews with senior managers with of the firm. Be sure to come prepared with a lot of questions about State Street and why this field/position.
