Stream of Wisdom Language Center interview questions

Everything was normal up until the interview. The admin got in touch to arrange the date and time accordingly. I met the manager, had a 1:1 talk and was offered the job on the spot. The issue was my expected salary and their offer range was completely not in line. The centre could only offer an hourly wage that is less than HK$200, which is drastically below market price. The manager continued to discuss about the company rules/ disciplinary actions, hoping that I would sign the contract on the spot. I was told that this part time job is going to be a ‘self-employed’ contract with no MPF and no benefit whatsoever. The only issue is that teachers will have to offer a proper medical certificate if lessons are missed - which goes against the ‘self-employment’ contract. In addition to this, for any reason that lessons are missed/ late, the teachers will have to compensate for that for free, without pay (i.e. if the train stops due to technical issues). The manager constantly describes all this as a ‘win-win’ situation, but nothing is really a ‘win-win’. I did mention that I would require 24 hours to reconsider and renegotiate the wages. I did so, but I was given no direct way to contact the manager. Only though WhatsApp via the admin staff. The back and forth to arrange a proper time to have a phone call, just about this took roughly a week. Once I was able to communicate the wages, I was promised to hear from them after 2 days. I waited over a week, but failed to receive any response. I then messaged the admin via WhatsApp saying that I was expecting a call and that it is rather rude to not receive any response. At this stage I have already made my mind not to work for them. But I did receive a call right after I have sent that message but disappointingly enough, “Sorry, I was sick and couldn’t call” was the excuse that I have received.
