The interview process was odd. After applying, I first received a canned rejection email. After following up with the hiring manager for feedback, they responded by sharing my info with the recruiter, after which I was contacted by the recruiter for an interview. It was a video call during which the recruiter said they're looking for a top-notch content writer, which perfectly aligns with my background. The interview questions were easy and straightforward, but I got the impression immediately that they either weren't really hiring or already had someone in mind internally (they did mention they're currently filling their content needs with freelancers). When I asked for feedback on my application and interview at the end of the call, the recruiter ignored my question and said they'd talk to the hiring manager. I got another canned rejection, this time from the recruiter's email address, after the call. No feedback was given whatsoever.
