Yesterday, I attended an interview at TCS, and it was honestly the worst interview experience I’ve had.
It felt like the TCS team was in their own world, behaving as if they were superior to everyone else.
First, they asked me to fill out a form with every possible detail — my 10th, 12th, B.Tech percentages, all previous employers, and even my salary packages.
And the worst part? They shared that form directly with the interviewer.
How can they reveal my salary details to the interviewer like that? It felt extremely unprofessional and unnecessary.
The interview itself was also very poorly handled.
The interviewer didn’t even introduce himself.
When I began giving my introduction, he was busy smiling and talking with his colleagues. Completely unprofessional behavior.
After that, he asked me one Android question where I had to write code to:
Execute 4 APIs in parallel,
Then based on the result, call 1 more API,
And then run 2 APIs,
And he wanted this coded within 2 minutes — he even turned on a timer on his phone in front of me.
Then he asked me to write a star pattern program.
There was no meaningful technical discussion at all.
Whenever I tried to explain my approach, he would cut me off and say, “Just write it. Your time starts now.”
Overall, the entire interview felt unprofessional, rushed, and disrespectful.
