Was contacted for a 40-minute interview. Asked basic questions but the interviewer was rude and seemed bored. I was asked by research experience and she said that she had no idea what I was talking about when I described quantitative skills. She asked me to spell "Excel." Seemed like I was talking to a recruiter who knew nothing about the company but it turned out she actually worked for the Boston Foundation! I told her about fellowships I did with respect to income inequality and she asked me to explain "real research" I did. This is one of the most negative experiences I had and I find it hard to believe a company as prestigious as the Boston Foundation did such a poor job.
