      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Gap Partnership (Singapore) in May 2025

      Interview

The interview process was very pleasant overall and the interviewers seemed like great people to work with. I did one online interview with HR, and two 1:1 on-site interviews with hiring managers on separate days. The interviews were generally about my work and personal experiences relevant to the role. The conversations flowed smoothly, and it felt like the interviewers sincerely wanted to get to know me and my career motivations. They were also candid about the company, role, and expectations. While it is a regret that I was not offered, this is still one of the best interview experiences for me where the conversation with each interviewer was consistently good and communications about interview logistics were smooth. Special shoutout to the Global Recruitment Manager, who was truly helpful, supportive and responsive from the start to end of the process.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Gap Partnership (New York, NY) in Jul 2023

      Interview

It was straight-forward. Rigorous yet clear. Polished yet human. First round was an informal conversation with HR. That's where I found out the job was not remote but more traditional-in person consulting around the US. Second round was slightly longer conversation with an existing consultant (or previous onto higher management now). Standard behavioral interview questions where you can respond in STAR format, but turned into an informal conversation as well. Third round was broken into 2.5 parts. A mock intro call with a potential new client, a presentation to senior executives, and a follow up proposal to draft in response to the mock intro call. The intro call is led by you so come prepared with questions you'd ask. They prepare you with a lot of information beforehand but want to see how you would lead this kind of conversation on your own. There's ample space to make inferences. The presentation portion is related to your prior background. Most consultants on the team were industry experts in their various fields before joining TGP and this section is designed to see what unique perspectives you'd bring to the table. The proposal is written after round 3 is complete (you have 2 days to finish it) and they help prepare you with a useful template.
