Submit samples of writing skills. That's all it took, and they liked what the read and continued to do so for years. I actually started writing for the paper in about 2005 or so, I'm not sure. You have no place to put the actual date I started so I'm putting here to let you know and to also use up words to fit in your system

Question 1
There was NO interview process as I submitted my writing skills and they started running my stories about once or twice a month. This is normally how writers get their jobs, by submitting their work.
