I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Tim Hortons in Aug 2019
Interview
The interview itself was only around 5-10 minutes long. The questions were nothing major. The questions I can remember off the top of my head were along the lines of:
- Is this your first job?
- What was your most recent job like?
- Why do you want to work here?
- What's the difference between hospitality and customer service?
- Can you work in a fast paced environment?
- What are your strengths/weaknesses?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What's the difference between hospitality and customer service?
Straightforward and simple questions like tell me about yourself, why this job and what is your greatest strength and weakness. How do you handle stressful situations? Questions may differ by location.
The process was easy. They asked basic questions, had me complete paperwork, and assigned laptop-based tasks. After finishing the assignments, they began the training process and explained the job responsibilities.
I had a referral from a friend who had just started working there. I booked an interview with the manager soon after. Interview was approximately 10-15 minutes long and was asked the typical interview questions. I was hired on the spot.
