I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Top Hat (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2019
Interview
First step was a phone recruiter, who was pleasant and polite.
Second step was an in-person interview with a would-be team lead, who was also pleasant and polite.
Third step, as others have mentioned, is where it all fell apart. While I scored incredibly high on the Wonderlic test, the top grade interview asked intrusive questions and focused on experiences I had more than 10 years ago. They were never even interested in the experiences that made me a good fit for the job I was applying for, they were more interested in my high school GPA (15 years ago) and why I didn't have a good experience at the first university I attended. They asked if they could call an employer I worked for 12 years ago for three months for a reference? I was so uncomfortable I couldn't even come up with coherent answers to their questions. No wonder I did not get an offer.
I actually emailed the HR to tell them how traumatic it was for me and they apologized, but I heard nothing more from them until this week when they sent me a survey asking me about my interview experience. No wonder they have 46% negative reviews on here.

Question 1
Can we call your employer from 12 years ago for a reference?

Interview
A ridiculous multiple choice test consisting of pattern matching and basic calculations as well as a series of prepared generic interview questions that were both condensing and silly. The interviewer would do well to read the resume and respond appropriately. I found the whole process to be insulting and condescending.
