First had an initial phone screen discussing skills, goals, and role requirements. Second was a technical screen going through 3ish interview questions. Third was a call with the Product manager discussing how you usually interact with product as a developer. Fourth was a call with the CEO discussing culture, goals, and expectations.

Question 1
How would you communicate delays in feature development to product
Had a zoom call with hiring manager. Went over background briefly and then was asked some technical questions. Seemed like they wanted very specific knowledge of postgres features versus overall understanding of the technologies and ability to problem solve. Was asked a series of trivial questions dealing with postgres bugs and edge cases. Hiring manager was polite during interview. Was told I would be hearing back in a few days, never received any communication from hiring manager after call ended.

Question 1
What would you do if the website application is slow? How would you troubleshoot this?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Truckbase (Oakland, CA) in Nov 2024
Interview
Interview with hiring manager. Seemed to be expecting pretty specific information in regards to Postgres and Typescript functionality that they make use of. I've had professional experience in both, but hadn't used the typescript library nor the postgres commands needed to solve a couple of the questions I was given. Interviewer was very kind and patient, and the interview certainly taught me something new, but it seems they're looking for someone who's especialy familiar with these technologies.
