I applied through their website and got an automatic confirmation.
Then nothing happened for a month, so I asked them what the status was, and they replied immediately saying that they are still looking, will contact me in a couple days.
Then I never heard from them again.
This is completely unprofessional. I'm really disappointed because ever since I heard about Turbine, I knew I wanted to work there, and now they finally had an opening that was a perfect match. Now I know I dodged a bullet.

Interviewed with Engineering Manager, Product Lead and various team members. Process focused a lot on the ability to learn the target domain and willingness to work in a cross-disciplinary team with data scientists and biochemists.

Question 1
What data pipeline orchestration frameworks do you know?
The interview process is insanely long (around five rounds), hr, basic technical, technical interview based on the homework (which is a correct project to do), and a talk with the CEO. During the first two rounds everything went somewhat smoothly, even though it felt like if I don't push there will no be answer from their side. After the 3rd interview and doing the homework project for them, they basically ghosted me, and after 3 weeks and 3-4 emails to the HR person finally answered, that they are in talks with another candidate, but would it be possible for me to stick around just in case it doesn't go through. Absolutely one of the most unprofessional interviews I have been a part of, hopefully they will get it together otherwise the company seemed nice.
