I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at U.S. Bank
Interview
My resume was passed along by a friend to a hiring manager for a contract position in their department. I was called in for an interview, and met with several employees, as well as 2 different managers. After following up, I never heard back about the position. 6 months later I received an email from one of the other managers asking if I was still seeking employment. I was, so agreed to a phone interview, followed by another in-person interview with the manager and 3 other employees. I found out after the offer was extended that it was for a completely different position (one I was overqualified for). I was in need of employment, and accepted the position, but it was confusing and frustrating to be offered a job for which I had no idea what the responsibilities were, as well as being passed back and forth between departments and hiring managers without any indication. The actual interview process was typical - asking about my experience mostly. A few days into the new job, my new boss was telling everyone that she hired me for my extensive background in a field I never indicated I had such experience in. I felt like I was walking in completely blind and unprepared.
