      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at U.S. Bank in Apr 2024

      Interview

My interview today was weird. Definitely a first for me for someone that represents the company they definitely behaved as if they were on the butt end of a high school gossip. It felt as if the interviewer was trying to rush me off of the phone and the interview was no longer than 10 minutes for a scheduled 30 minute interview. No, I didn’t have any expectations to meet the full 30 minutes of the interview because it’s never happened but roughly 10 minutes of attitude for sure. I’ve been a Senior Fraud Analyst for over 3 years and this remote position would have allowed me to be more flexible with my schedule. The interviewer didn’t appear to be interested but bothered as she continued to exhale very obviously when I was providing responses to the interview questions almost every time. She asked, “what’s makes you believe you’re capable on taking on this role?” and I responded accordingly but to be honest I felt like asking what’s makes this company capable of maintaining its employees when you have someone like this interviewer being the first representative of the company versus what I see on the website or tv. She was very unprofessional. Literally my first interaction and you dropped the ball. Of course I’m giving the benefit of a doubt she may be having a bad day ;however, she shouldn’t have conducted the interview today. I wasn’t given the opportunity to ask the interviewer any questions as well and she rushed me off the phone and hung up. Hopefully the rest of you that are reading this have a better experience and a Great time taking steps forward growing in your careers. I Hope this helps someone or raises the expectations for interviewers to be held accountable.
