      CCA Interview

      13 Oct 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Sacramento, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Sacramento, CA) in Oct 2016

      Interview

I had to take some online assessments for personality, then I took the skills test (Coding and Memory) at a testing center that was privately contracted. I found that for the most part this test center was not a professional or positive experience just prior to taking an assessment test. The person that checked me in was rude and impersonal. She told me that I couldn't take anything into the testing room so I had to empty all my pockets including wallet, watch, granola bar, and she even made me spit out my gum. Fair enough, but she was rude about it. I had a slip of paper that had my personnel log in for the assessment testing which you are informed to have with you... and she told me it wasn't necessary, again in an unprofessional way. In other words, some of the information given out in preparation for the test was not accurate. I had a test scheduled for 11:00 am and it said to be there 30 minutes early, but as soon as I got there I was rushed into my test... I didn't have anytime to relax from the heavy commute or to finish some water I had brought... (it too had to be left outside the testing chamber). I had been upset by the experience just as I sat in front of a computer screen to take a tough memory assessment.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The questions I had later on when I was invited back for the personal interview mainly focused on the workload. They prepare you with videos and personal stories about the work, and the workload and then in the interview, they ask you several times about your commitment to see if you really want to work on your feet in the heat and cold and walking 6-10 miles a day.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Las Vegas, NM)

      Interview

There is not an interview for this position. Just apply online, pass the background screening and receive your start date. Best time to apply is for the holiday season. I was hired on for the holiday season and received a call back in less than a month after the season ended to return back for a 360 position.
