This is the most hypocritical company I have ever encountered.
The job description clearly stated, "Fluent in English, willing to learn Dutch." During my first interview, I transparently admitted that I did not speak Dutch. The COO reassured me that my English was VERY GOOD and it would be perfectly fine as long as I showed a willingness to learn Dutch. Based on this assurance, I was advanced to the second round, where I was asked to invest significant time in coding and conducting market research for a demo.
Shockingly, they later rejected me for not speaking Dutch after giving the demo.
It's so disgusting to discover that their real intent was never to hire someone with an international background, but rather a native Dutch speaker, deceitfully encouraging candidates with the empty promise of "as long as you are willing to learn Dutch." Instead of promptly disqualifying me after our initial conversation, they exploited my efforts under false pretenses.
Furthermore, it’s disgraceful to realize they demanded a demo, fully aware that I did not meet their language requirements, merely to exploit my work without compensation. This is so low class and vulgar. What a loser vibe! How poor, disqualified, unconfident, or evil must a company be to do that? This is beyond low class—it’s exploitative and unethical. It demonstrates a profound lack of integrity and a manipulative corporate culture. How can a company with such deceitful practices hope to succeed in a competitive market? How desperate, incompetent, or malevolent must a company be to stoop to such levels?
