      Director of Supply Chain Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Uline

      Interview

They have a large HR Dept. and I was first taken into a room to take several assessment tests which seemed more apt for clerical personnel. There was no heads up that this was to occur and came as a surprise. I asked why there was so many supply chain roles constantly advertised for Uline and the HR rep sheepishly told me their approach is to constantly advertise for roles at different levels when no job exists to try and cherry pick people for jobs that might come up in the future. I stated that was odd and asked her if she thought that was ethical; she seemed to believe that approach was insincere. The company should change their name to U Lyin' i/o Uline.
