I was asked to drive 2 hours for a 30 minute interview. The interviewer asked me one question. He asked what my favorite Ulta product was, so I said the elf camo cc cream since it’s affordable and works well with my dry skin. He said “I don’t buy cheap foundations.” and spent the whole time talking about his own retail experience managing other stores then told me he would reach out within 24 hours, then ghosted me. I called twice to attempt to get a hiring manager on the phone and was told both times they would call me back, they did not.
