      Flight Attendant Interview

      11 Sept 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines in Sept 2015

      Interview

About 30 of us in the F2F interview. I read all reviews on glass door telling you how to act and how to dress, but it seems the people who were quiet and dressed wrong were the ones that made it to the 2nd round. There was a girl with winged out eyeliner, long hair down her back and a skirt above her knees who I think got the offer. She also didn't talk much to the rest of us but she made it to the 2nd round and was asked to provide her documents. We found this out from a couple other people who made it to the 2nd round. I felt like I nailed my interview. Except for the last question when they asked "What else do you want United to know about you?" My answer was pretty lengthy and the recruiter even had to tell me to wrap it up lol. I should have stuck with a short answer. What really annoys me is that the recruiter told me I did a great job yet did not pass me to the 2nd round. My advice is to not be nervous and just do your best. Don't try to be perfect and don't listen to everything you read on here in terms of how to dress and how to act. You can be dressed all wrong but if the recruiter likes your personality they will pass you through regardless. You can be silent and barely mingle with the rest of the candidate but if the recruiter likes you they will pass you through. It just all depends on whether or not the recruiter personally likes you or not. You get a free flight to the F2F but you still have to pay for your hotel, food, and outfit, which for me totaled about $300. If you have that money to spare then go. Your chances of getting it are small and again, it all depends on if the recruiter personally likes you or not. The recruiters (especially the females) seemed very fake. They sound so robotic when they talk and they rush you through the interview. Yes, they smile a lot but you can see right through it. I met some cool people and that was the only plus, but other than that it was a waste of time. I already know I'm good at interviews, I didn't need to spend $300 for the recruiter to tell me I did great and not pass me through. I learned nothing from this experience, but I met some of the coolest people. Wish we all kept in contact.

First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening. Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test. Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
