      Flight Attendant Interview

      22 Oct 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2015

      Interview

The interview process is just as described by everybody else here. I got through the video interview, 1 on 1 interview, and the 3 on 1 interview, but didn't get the CJO. I think the 3 on 1 interview got me nervous because the senior FA's were a little intimidating. You answer their questions and they just nod at you. Since I have 10+ years of customer service experience, they really gave me some digging questions. About how I deal with high level colleagues. I have customer service experience from different types of organizations but they said that airline customers are different from what I have experienced and that my experience is not really useful in a FA position, and then questioned me how I think it would be useful in airline customers. They looked at my work history and asked me why I decided to become a flight attendant now? What do I think about being on "Reserve" status? They gave a CJO to one that has only 2 years of customer service experience. Also, don't listen to the dress code people are describing here. One of the girls that got a CJO had long fake nails, didn't wear a blazer (just a blouse) and 4 inch heels. One of the girls even forgot her resume (she asked one of the staff to print her one) but hey, she got through the 1 on 1 interview! I honestly think that you don't really have to follow the rules. Don't overthink it! It's all about confidence. If you have it, they'll hire you right away! Good luck!

Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
