I prepared for this interview by looking at all the interview info located on here, and everything on this site was so unbelievably helpful. I truly believe I would have not had the same success at my interview, if this site had not been available to me.
I did my video interview on 2/15/2016 and was so nervous! Luckily my FA friend helped me study interview questions on this site and helped me with wording my answere. Regardless, I was still nervous and stumbled over myself quite a bit. I WAS SUCCESSFUL though and the next day I was invited to do a F2F in San Francisco, I was given 5 different days as options to schedule the interview for over the phone with the scheduling department. I choose Thursday 2/26/2016 and proceeded to study all the questions I could find on this site until the day for my interview finally arrived.
I arrived in San Francisco, with all of my Flight Attendant swag that I had gotten for the interview, i strongly encourage all interviewees to DRESS AND ACT LIKE A FLIGHT ATTENDANT DURING THE INTERVIEW, and prepared all night at my hotel room i got by studying, trying out different hair styles/make-up combos, etc...
The morning finally came for my interview. I jumped on the shuttle to the airport at 7am (interview was at 8:30am) and got there in plenty of time to the interview site. I cannot stress how important LOOKING THE PART AND SOCIALIZING WITH THE OTHER INTERVIEWEES was, looking the part helps the interviewers see you in the position you are trying to get, and socializing with the other interviewees really calmed my nerves. I was third or fourth to be called for the first portion of the interview (i was sweating bullets), then was taken to a second room to wait for the second portion (what a relief this was). I was third to be called for the second portion of the interview and that was when the tough questions started, after what felt like an hour of questions THEY OFFERED ME THE POSITION and I was taken to fill out further paperwork to start everything needed for training.
I WAS SO EXCITED AND RELIEVED I MESSED UP FILLING OUT THE PAPERWORK, but everyone was so funny and we all joked about it. After completing the paperwork, I went immediately to complete my drug screen, and then went to wait for my flight back home.
The best advice I can give to anyone applying for this position is:
BE YOURSELF, AND LET YOUR PERSONALITY SHINE THROUGH
SMILE!!!
DRESS THE PART!!!
GET A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE
TALK TO YOUR FELLOW INTERVIEWEES
SHOW THEM HOW PERFECT YOU ARE FOR THE POSITION
