I was invited to interview with Unitu after submitting an application. However, the salary was minimum wage for an experienced CSM. They encouraged me to continue with the process and agree on pay later. I made it through the 3 stages and was offered the job, still with no idea of the salary. When I received the contract, it was very poor and the benefit package and salary was too. Some basics were not even fully covered such a laptop. The only worthwhile benefit was that they are a fully remote, global team. Some of the terms they were proposing, such as notice period, were benefitial for them but super bad for employees. When I asked questions, it took a long time for them to produce answers some of which were still not satisfactory. When I pushed for answers, they took a long time to get back to me and then with no warning withdrew their offer over email stating I was "not a cultural fit" despite having sat a culture interview with the CEO which he was perfectly happy with. They offered to provide further feedback on why so when I asked for this they simply did not reply. They also promised to pay candidates for their time regardless of the outcome of their interviews but this was never mentioned again. Overall, the process took 2 months and obviously ended with no agreement in place which was super disappointing but probably for the best.
