I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Utopiat (Rockville, MD) in Jul 2017
Interview
Very casual.
Went there for a marketing position, and ended up with an accountant position.
CEO knows what you are good at, and will try to bring the best out of you. The company is small so there are lots of flexibility to develop your skills in different positions. The key is yourself. CEO prefer people who have the vibe that fits the company.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Utopiat (Rockville, MD) in May 2016
Interview
After corresponding back and forth over email in which they asked me why I was a good fit for their company, we set up an interview for the following monday. The company is based out of a house in the nice part of the Rockville suburbs, more specifically, out of the basement. Not that this bothered me particularly, but there are two medium-large sized dogs in the house that I was not warned about. The founder was unaware that I was coming in for an interview and the person who I had set the interview up with was not there. He did come in about halfway through the interview with lunch, but did not speak to me or the founder. Otherwise the interview was alright, if slightly disjointed. She more talked about the company than asked me questions about myself, but the offer she gave me involved coming into their "office" for two weeks with no guarantee of pay to see if we could work well together.

Question 1
What made you want to apply to be part of our team? [this was essentially the only question of substance I was asked]
