I applied online. I interviewed at Vancouver Water Adventures (Vancouver, BC)
Interview
After the initial application was contacted by the manager within the week by email. I was invited to come to the location for an in-person interview. Once I arrived the manager and I sat down overlooking the docks near the picnic area, a beautiful location for taking a break. She had a copy of my resume printed and some standard questions she asked about my experience and background. The interview was straightforward, once we were past the typical questions we chatted more about the day-to-day and wage expectations. We connected well and I was qualified for the position so we ended on positive terms with me expecting a call. Overall it was great, and so was working there.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Vancouver Water Adventures (Vancouver, BC) in Jun 2020
Interview
I interviewed for the role of front desk/administrative assistant in the summer of 2020 for near minimum wage. Due to the pandemic, my tourism-related career came to a full stop so I was excited to be a potential candidate. The person who contacted me was quick to respond and an interview was set up within days. During the interview, the questions were pretty much your run-of-the-mill standard interview questions. The interviewer also asked me if I have a Visa required to legally work in Canada and I was caught off-guard the way she asked this question. At the end of the interview, she asked me to send my references and I didn't hear back.
