I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at VectorShift in Oct 2024
Interview
Initial call with one of the cofounders. Basic introductions and then I was asked about the biggest challenge in my life and my passion. It is a startup so they're looking for culture fit - I learned that they prefer someone who ships fast and works well without much team collaboration.
Take home assessment which had multiple parts spanning from design to front end to backend work, then a meeting with the CTO about it in which he asked follow up questions and had you do some quick programming. Kind of open ended on the take home part so kind of as much effort as you're willing to put in in terms of time it takes
I applied online. I interviewed at VectorShift in Aug 2025
Interview
Applied on http://workatastartup.com. Got response in 2 days. This was an automated response asking to implement a complex flow which took 4 whole working days. Submit along with video explaining the solution. After submission, no response!
Dropped email. No response. Started researching on the company. Got to know same thing has happened with multiple candidates. Looks like the co-founder Albert has kept the chat on auto-response mode to share the task exactly 2 days after you send any message! This id!ot has been wasting so many job seekers valuable time for no reason.
