Question 1
Tell me about a project where you had to solve a usability problem. How did you identify the issue, what process did you follow to fix it, and what was the impact of the final design?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vicoland (Giza) in Apr 2023
Interview
1- A call with a team leader
2- A call with the CTO
I got an email that I passed those 2 interviews and have to finish a task,
while finishing the task i got an email telling me that I've failed the 2 interviews! I asked them if they sent me this email by mistake and they replied "Sorry, we sent this by mistake, please continue finishing the task", After completing the task I've not heard from them, I waited 2 weeks then sent an email asking them about the status of my application, they answered saying that they don't want to continue with my application
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vicoland
Interview
Overall, the interview process was relatively straightforward. However, there was one aspect that left me quite disappointed. They requested a technical task that, on average, took candidates around 15 to 20 hours to complete. I inquired about receiving detailed feedback on the task because I wanted to ensure that the time investment would be worthwhile and a learning experience. The interviewer assured me that I would receive feedback And after submitting the task within two weeks, and me sending a follow-up email, he sent a template rejection mail without any personalized feedback or explanation. I sent an email to ask for feedback (As Promised by the interviewer) but, I didn't receive any answer. In the end, the whole experience felt like a considerable time investment without the respect and consideration I had anticipated. So, to be honest, I'm happy that I didn't get accepted there. It was just a bad experience.
